did anyone else learn their alphabet from The Letter People?

i remember the pictures of each letter person pinned above my kindergarten chalkboard (it would have been when i was five, which was 1978)...but more specifically, i remember the "dance time" the class had when learning a new letter.

ironically, the videos highlighted in the wikipedia page i linked to above are the letters that i remember most: horrible hair, tall teeth, and munching mouth (my favorite). i remember the disco music accompanying Mr. M so vividly, i can picture me and my classmates dancing around the room while he sang about his "munching mouth."

i want to order these for my boys - songs and all. sawyer's already got the dance moves for the music.

now if only i can find the multiplication tables set to music that i learned in 3rd grade (NOT school house rock)...

Now, all I did was come check out your blog, and I end up on YouTube listening to Kermit the Frog sing the Rainbow Connection and bawling. But THEN, I listened to Miarose sing so sweet, and then I got some amazing social commentary from Ask a Gay Man... Liz, first you get me hooked on Dooce and the world of mommyblogs, and now I'm watching wierdos make videos of themselves and their music and it's all because of you!!!
Is that so wrong???
